Edmonton Property Tax 2026

Edmonton’s residential property tax rate is approximately 0.76% — the lowest of Alberta’s major cities after Calgary, and well below typical Ontario rates. Edmonton assesses properties annually based on market value as of July 1 of the prior year. Assessment notices are mailed each January, and you have 21 days to file a complaint if you believe the value is incorrect.
