RBC Fees 2026 | Chequing, Savings, Wire Transfer & Service Fees

Updated

RBC’s fee structure uses four core chequing tiers — Day to Day Banking, Advantage Banking, Signature No Limit Banking, and VIP Banking — priced at $4, $12.95, $16.95, and $30 per month respectively. Unlike TD, BMO, and Scotiabank, RBC does not waive these fees based on a minimum account balance; instead, its “Value Program” reduces the monthly fee when you hold multiple RBC products (chequing, savings, credit card, mortgage, or investments) with the bank.

Monthly Account Fees

Account Monthly Fee Notes
Day to Day Banking $4.00 12 debits of any kind + unlimited e-Transfers, transit, and virtual Visa Debit
Advantage Banking $12.95 Unlimited debit transactions in Canada
Signature No Limit Banking $16.95 Unlimited debit transactions in Canada (RBC’s most-marketed account); as low as $4/month with the Value Program
VIP Banking $30.00 Unlimited debit transactions worldwide; free non-RBC ATMs and cross-border debits
Student Banking $0 No requirement

No minimum balance is required on any of these four accounts. RBC’s fee reduction model is the Value Program — holding more RBC products (chequing, savings, credit cards, mortgages, investments) unlocks fee rebates on up to 3 accounts, rather than a single balance threshold like other Big Five banks use.
