CIBC Branch Hours 2026 | Weekday, Weekend & Holiday Schedule

Updated

Most CIBC branches follow a standard schedule of Monday to Friday, 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM local time. A smaller number of locations in shopping centres and high-traffic urban areas offer extended weekday hours and Saturday service. CIBC’s branch hours are more limited than TD — one of TD’s most commonly cited advantages is its extended-hour branches open until 8:00 PM on weekdays and on weekends.

For 24/7 banking needs, CIBC Online Banking, the CIBC mobile app, and ATMs are available around the clock regardless of branch hours.

Extended hours are most common in downtown financial district branches, large shopping malls, and transit-hub locations. Use the CIBC branch locator (cibc.com or CIBC app) to confirm hours for your specific branch before visiting.

Big Five Branch Hours Comparison

BankWeekday HoursSaturdaySunday
TDMany to 8:00 PMYes (most locations)Some locations
RBCTypically to 5:00 PMSome locationsRare
ScotiabankTypically to 5:00 PMSome locationsRare
CIBCTypically to 5:00 PMSome locationsRare
BMOTypically to 5:00 PMSome locationsRare

TD’s extended-hour model is a genuine differentiator — many TD branches are specifically designed to be accessible to 9-to-5 workers who cannot visit a branch during standard hours. CIBC’s branch hours are competitive with RBC, Scotiabank, and BMO, but lag behind TD on weekday evening and weekend availability.

Simplii Financial: No Branches, No Hours Constraint

Simplii Financial, CIBC’s no-fee digital banking brand, operates entirely online — there are no Simplii branches. All banking is handled through the Simplii app and Online Banking, which are available 24/7. For cash deposits, Simplii clients use CIBC ATMs or mail-in cheque deposit. For clients who rarely need in-person branch service, Simplii removes the branch-hours constraint entirely while still providing access to CIBC’s ATM network.
